Finance Manager
Perm - Hybrid - Apex, NC
Salary: 115-130k -- 10% Bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project and job cost accounting
- Partner closely with operations and project management teams to ensure accurate cost tracking, change order accounting.
- Develop and maintain job-level and project financial reporting to support profitability reviews and operational decision-making
- Serve as the primary finance partner to BU leadership, providing actionable insights into cost drivers, revenue trends, and project financial performance
- Own business unit financial reporting, including monthly close, P&L management, and variance analysis versus budget and prior periods
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and internal controls aligned with corporate standards and private equity sponsor expectations
- Support ERP utilization and optimization (NetSuite) at the BU level; ensure data accuracy, discipline, and reporting integrity
Qualifications
- BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong project-based or construction finance background; proficiency in WIP, job costing, and contract revenue recognition
- Prior experience in industrial services, specialty contracting, facilities services,
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with urgency in fast-paced, multi-project environments
- Proven ability to operate independently, anticipate issues, and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills; comfortable using AI or automation to streamline work
- Strong presentation and communication skills
Hands-on Finance Manager to support a rapidly growing business unit serving high-demand end markets including pharmaceutical manufacturing, data centers, and life sciences.
This role is embedded in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving industrial services business and is ideal for someone comfortable operating in a project-based financial environment while owning traditional accounting and business finance responsibilities.
