Project Engineer II
Location: Jackson, MI (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $43-45/hour, DOE
Project Engineer II | Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program OR Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering license (Required)
- 5 - 7 years Experience in a project engineer capacity (Required)
- Experience serving as a program/project engineer on complex projects (5 years minimum)
- Experience coordinating internal and external engineering disciplines.
- Knowledge of Project Management Information Systems such as Unifier and Document Control tools such as Project Wise is not a requirement but a plus.
- Knowledge of Project Management principles and skills is a plus.
- An Electrical Engineering background is preferred, but not required.
- Understanding and experience in contract management
- Experience in the management of engineering contracts and engineering deliverables.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
- Background and experience in Electric Distribution projects is preferred, though not an absolute requirement
- Understanding and experience in contract management
- Experience in the management of engineering contracts and engineering deliverables.
- Build strong partnerships with business partners and deeply understand their business goals
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
- Provide assistance and technical support to project managers and other project participants
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions
- Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines. Develop specifications for the project's needed equipment
