Sr. Communications Manager
Location: California, San Francisco
Duration: 6 months
Pay: $65/hr - $70/hr (DOE)
The Planet Group is seeking a seeking a creative, organized, passionate and versatile team contributor to support a global Communications team that is developing compelling year-round campaigns into a wide range of pop culture conversations.
Sr. Communications Manager Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in project management, experiential production, and/or Communications
- Experience with earned media strategies
- Experience working on global, consumer?facing communication campaigns
- Ability to project manage consumer campaigns from ideation through execution
- Experience collaborating with cross?functional partners, including Legal, Creative, and social teams
- Experience overseeing or advising on experiential production and creative
- Experience producing online content and supporting offline consumer experiences
- Experience managing external vendors, including experiential agencies, venues, and freelance talent
- Ability to negotiate project scopes and production budgets
- Experience creating and managing detailed project plans and timelines
- Ability to track workstreams, deliverables, and mitigate risks
- Experience managing internal and external partners, including Hosts, brand partners, and creative vendors
- Experience drafting scopes of work, reviewing proposals, and executing contracts
- Ability to develop campaign ideas and conduct partner outreach
- Experience tracking and managing campaign budgets, performance metrics, and insights
- Ability to influence decision?making and remove blockers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work with fast and changing timelines
- Proactive, engaged, solution?oriented, and self?starting approach
- Passion for travel, pop culture, and trends
Sr. Communications Manager Responsibilities:
- Project manage consumer communication campaigns end?to?end, from ideation through execution
- Lead project teams and collaborate with cross?functional partners (Legal, Creative, Social) to ensure successful campaign delivery
- Oversee and/or advise on experiential production, creative development, online content, and offline consumer experiences
- Manage external vendors and partners, including experiential agencies, venues, freelance talent, Hosts, and brand partners
- Negotiate partnerships, scopes of work, contracts, and production budgets to ensure alignment with campaign objectives
- Develop campaign ideas and conduct partner outreach to support annual campaign goals
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, workstreams, and deliverables, identifying and mitigating risks
- Track, manage, and report campaign budgets, performance metrics, and actionable insights
- Influence decision?making and identify and remove blockers to ensure projects run smoothly
