The Financial Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting operational functions through the delivery of strategic financial insights, rigorous analysis, and disciplined financial management. This role is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities, partnering cross?functionally to improve cost structures, and enabling data?driven decision?making. The Analyst brings strong expertise in financial systems and business processes to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement across financial operations. Success in this role requires a high degree of independence, analytical depth, and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
This is a hybrid role with a regular in?office presence.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes for operational functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and established timelines
- Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders
- Partner with cross?functional teams to build financial models that support strategic initiatives and long?term planning efforts
- Own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of financial reporting tools and dashboards tailored to operational leadership
- Perform detailed variance analysis and communicate results with clear narratives and strategic implications
- Manage monthly and year?end close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper cost allocations
- Prepare and present recurring financial deliverables, including operational P&L reporting, cost performance dashboards, and finance summaries
- Conduct cost simulations and scenario analyses to assess the financial impact of operational decisions
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to operational leaders by providing guidance on cost optimization, investment decisions, and risk mitigation
Qualifications & Requirements Skills & Knowledge
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably supporting operational, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
- Demonstrated ability to partner with operations teams and deliver meaningful financial insights and strategic recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and enterprise financial systems (ERP experience preferred)
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and business case development
- Strong analytical and problem?solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Proven ability to collaborate cross?functionally and influence stakeholders
- Solid understanding of operational cost drivers and process efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree required
