Job Description
Job Title: Equipment Operator
Location: Wareham MA, 2576
Contract length: 5-month Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-6:30pm (Dayshift)
Pay: $16/hr - $21.93/hr
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment
- Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule
- Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, bulldozer, skid steer, vacuum truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, dump trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
- Feed Shredders, Fuel Conveyors and Load Trucks with outbound Material
- Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
- Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all facilities and within assigned work areas
- Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, snow removal and ice prevention
- Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic
- Assist facility Operations Department with conveyor equipment repairs, shredder hammer changes/rotations
- Assist during major outages as needed
- Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
