Job Description
The Planet Group is seeking a fully remote Proofreader with editing skills to support a growing, healthcare-focused creative and production agency supporting major brands.
- Location: Fully remote role; however, candidates must be U.S. citizens currently residing and working in the United States
- Time Zone: The team primarily operates on EST, though flexibility across U.S. time zones is available (availability for a daily 10am EST status call is required)
- Hours: 30-40 hrs per week (dependent on projects)
- Pay: $35-$40/hr+ depending on experience
- Proofread and copy edit a wide range of healthcare/pharma marketing materials, including emails, banner ads (static and animated), social media content, brochures, IVAs, and sales collateral.
- Review materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand and regulatory guidelines (including ISI and MLR requirements).
- Perform line break/slug checks, cold reads, and “disaster checks” after major revisions or multiple rounds of changes.
- Conduct character-by-character comparisons for double-proofs, vendor proofs, and ISI reviews.
- Verify links, QR codes, and interactive elements in digital assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify project requirements and resolve copy-related issues.
- Utilize proofing software as part of the review process, when compatible with project files.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for copy improvements as needed.
- 3+ years of professional proofreading experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical (AMA).
- Copy editing skills.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for healthcare/pharma marketing (MLR, ISI, FDA, etc.).
- Experience with both print and digital marketing materials.
- Familiarity with proofing software and digital review tools.
- Excellent command of English grammar, usage, and style.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Experience with Veeva, Adobe Experience Manager, or similar platforms.
- Prior agency or healthcare/pharma marketing experience.
- Copywriting or content development skills.
