Job Description
LabVantage LIMS Business Analyst – Contract – Remote (USA) – Up to 10% Travel
Technology Service Provider seeks an experienced Business Analyst with strong LabVantage LIMS functional expertise and knowledge of the latest product features. This person will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes, design optimized workflows and support end-to-end solution delivery in an agile environment. Top skills needed include LabVantage LIMS functional BA experience (10+ yrs), process mapping/optimization, DNA/RNA sequencing + related lab workflows, Agile delivery (user stories/AC), and strong stakeholder communication. Opportunity provides a truly remote role, with like no more than 5% to 10% travel, that is long-term and could extend.

Responsibilities
Lab Systems Architecture & LIMS Delivery
- Partner with business teams to understand ways of working and translate needs into clear, detailed process maps.
- Act as the liaison between business and technical teams to ensure accurate requirements, solution alignment, and smooth delivery.
- Engage stakeholders closely to understand pain points and drive practical, high-adoption solutions.
- Stay current on LabVantage’s latest features and apply them to improve business processes and solution outcomes.
- Support work involving integration of LabVantage with other systems (as applicable), ensuring functional requirements are clear for build teams.

- Contribute to iterative solution design through agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement) and continuous improvement feedback loops.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with LabVantage.
- Strong functional knowledge of LabVantage LIMS, including awareness of the latest product features.
- Hands-on experience creating process flows/documentation using Microsoft Visio and/or Mural.
- Familiarity with workflows including DNA/RNA sequencing, Request Management, Advanced Storage & Logistics, and Package Management.
- Ability to write high-quality functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting projects that integrate LabVantage with other systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience optimizing end-to-end lab workflows across multiple stakeholder groups and translating them into scalable LIMS process designs.
