Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Olive Township, MI
Contract: 24 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $36-$38/hour, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 24-month contract, working an onsite schedule from Olive Township, MI.
Mechanical Engineer II | Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program OR Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering license.
- 4+ years Relevant experience (Power utility or heavy industrial preferred)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical and technical skills
- Proficient with computer-assisted design (CAD) software
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Preparing specifications for purchases of mechanical equipment and materials and estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential mechanical engineering projects and studies and provide technical support to other departments and personnel as needed
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing mechanical systems specifications or technical drawings
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, mass balance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors and suppliers for all mechanical engineering equipment matters. Manage the development and implementation of mechanical systems
