Pay Range: $55-$60/hr.
9-Month Contract

The Planet Group is currently seeking a Demolition Project Engineer for a growing company in the industrial industry now for immediate consideration.  

JOB SUMMARY
Site Demolition Activities –Demo Project Engineer
Project Overview



Objective: Demolish existing D/E hydrochloric acid production area to return to brownfield status. Demolish off gas vent lines from main unit filters to acid production areas, production area still in use. Provide oversight for decontamination efforts to pilot plant facility in preparation for targeted demolition activities.


Scope Summary: Project organization from initial scope and budget development through end of demolition. Management of demolition activities include verification of field status, providing SOW of additional field preparation of electrical and process lines, and coordination of full demolition activities.
 
Pre-Construction Duties 
•    Review drawings/specifications; identify constructability issues and interferences. Identify low points or additional risk areas.
•    Validate site conditions: utilities, existing structure interfaces, contractor mobilization needs, and site logistics constraints.
•    Develop detailed scope of work for items to be demolished, additional construction activities to be made to support demolition
•    Develop project budget for financial approvals
•    Lead bid package scoping. Develop demolition packages, RFI responses, and GC/subcontractor alignment; support procurement per Owner policies.
•    Develop safe work plans for contractors before they arrive onsite, coordinate JSA permitting needs while onsite
•    Develop and update master schedule with critical path, milestones, and construction/demolition
•    Schedule and coordinate contractor visits
•    Participate in design reviews
•    Manage MOC process, development of MOC, participation in PHA and design reviews
Demolition Phase (Heavy Focus)
•    Daily oversight of site demolition activities and coordination of tasks to ensure minimal interference between contractors and between operational activities.
•    Track progress vs. schedule and budget; update look-ahead (2–6 weeks) and critical path impacts.
•    Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and approvals; ensure configuration control and document versioning.
•    Ensure adherence to plan, coordinate inspections and non-conformance corrective actions.
•    Administer change orders and claims; perform independent estimates and schedule impact analyses.
