Job Description
Sr. Cost Analyst
Location: Port Washington, WI (Fully Onsite)
$120-150k target range + bonus
Overview:
The Sr. Cost Analyst will oversee project cost tracking, forecasting and financial reporting to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets. This role partners closely with project managers, engineering, procurement and accounting to analyze financial performance, identify risks and drive cost control improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Budgeting & Planning

Develop detailed project budgets and cost estimates

Review contracts and validate financial assumptions

Establish cost control baselines
Cost Monitoring & Control
-
Track project expenditures against budgets
-
Analyze cost variances and identify root causes
-
Monitor commitments, accruals and change orders
Forecasting & Analysis
-
Prepare monthly percentage of completion entries
-
Perform scenario modeling and risk analysis
-
Deliver trend analysis and performance metrics
Reporting & Collaboration
-
Prepare financial reports for leadership

Present cost performance data in review meetings

Support audits
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering and operations
Process Improvement

Ensure compliance with financial policies and contract terms

Improve cost control systems and reporting processes

Support ERP and project management system optimization
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
-
5–10+ years of project cost control or financial analysis experience
-
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and inventory costing

Percentage of Completion accounting required
-
Advanced Excel required
-
ERP experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, Macola)

PowerBI or reporting tool exposure preferred

Strong analytical and communication skills
