Sr. Engineer III
Location: Jacksons, MI
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: 40 Hours
Pay: $58-$62/hour, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Sr. Engineer III to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract, working an onsite schedule from Jackson, MI.
Sr. Engineer III | Qualifications:
- Qualifications for technical engineer positions generally include at least a bachelor's degree in a field that related to the sector in which the company operates.
- Candidates for technical engineer positions also need to have relevant experience, as well as proficiency in basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Technical engineers should also have excellent analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- They should also work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting with other engineers and related colleagues.
- The team is responsible for both in-house and consultant-led designs, supporting new substation construction as well as upgrades, repairs, and modifications to existing facilities.
- Key areas of focus include I&C Designs (schematics, wiring, etc), project scoping, AC and DC load studies, procurement and construction support, and overall project execution. This position supports capital projects across the service territory.
- Creating Construction Scopes of Work (SOW), master document lists (SOW), scheduling and holding 30/60/90 reviews with all design disciplines, leading constructability reviews with the field and supporting the field throughout commissioning as needed.
- Site visits prior to engineering starting will often be necessary with the field teams.
