VP Enterprise Risk Management
Hybrid

200-250k + bonus
Must Haves:
- 10+ years risk management experience either in or supporting large organizations
- Bachelors degree
- MBA/JD
- Construction/MFG industry exposure
- Downstream Contracts review
VP, Legal and Risk Management
- Lead and oversee all legal and risk management functions, including contracting, claims and litigation management, regulatory licensing and compliance, insurance, and enterprise risk management (identification, prioritization, mitigation, and monitoring of risks).
- Manage the legal and risk management budget and proactively work to eliminate waste while improving spend efficiency to maximize value.
- Collaborate with the CFO to manage relationships with external legal counsel, insurance brokers and carriers, regulatory bodies, and other risk-related partners.
- Own and analyze all legal and risk management data; identify and communicate trends, issues, and concerns to the CFO and relevant stakeholders. Guide the team in processing, reviewing, and analyzing data to proactively identify, measure, mitigate, and monitor risks.
- Drive timely and business-relevant outcomes by proactively managing legal and risk management workflows and processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for key legal and risk management topics.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across the legal and risk management function and the broader organization by identifying opportunities, guiding team-driven improvements, and executing results-focused initiatives.
- Determine the capabilities required for the department, build the appropriate team structure, and actively develop team members to address skill gaps; mentor others across the organization to strengthen legal and risk management competencies.
- Perform responsibilities with a strong customer-focused mindset, proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness to stakeholder needs and ensure clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
