Location: Beaverton, OR
Contract length: ~6 months
Schedule: Onsite in Beaverton, OR
Pay: $45-47.89/hr, DOE
 
The Planet Group is looking for a Lead Brand Assortment Planner to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 6-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be onsite in Beaverton, OR. This person will help communicate Point of Sales (POS) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to internal and external stakeholders and will help sales and retail partners understand what is working, what can be improved, and what healthy POS’s look like.

Lead Brand Assortment Planner Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, Economics, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Planning/Buying/Sales with emphasis on retail/wholesale financial planning and analysis
  • Proven ability to leverage large amounts of data, identify critical information, analyze, and potentially create new ways of working to develop a recommendation
  • Strong ability to influence through compelling communication
  • Ability to think critically and understand the potential of a product in the marketplace while identifying gaps to tops-down and bottoms-up financial plan
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Travel up to 15% of the time 
  • Curious, a self-starter mentality, influential communication skills, and a strong ability to operate in ambiguous situations
  • Phenomenal data storytelling abilities grounded in retail acumen, planning expertise and supported through elevated excel capabilities
  • Strong collaborator

Lead Brand Assortment Planner Description:

  • Play a pivotal role in bringing the marketplace vision to life with specific focus on pre-season forecasting, reacting to in-season trends and results analysis
  • Establish clear financial plans while partnering with cross functional teammates to create a line grounded in profitability, productivity, and consumer demand
  • Work both internally and externally with Partner Accounts
  • Develop style-level plans to inform financial plans that will fuel assortments
  • Influence buy and supply decisions while partnering with key stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor performance indicators keeping a pulse on the business
  • Analyze sales results
  • Manage key product forecasts and in season recommendations
  • Share actionable insights on risks and opportunities
  • Create plans that optimize business health while achieving financial targets
  • Use strong communication skills with internal/external partners to elicit information, cultivate productive dialogue, verbalize ideas, and align financial plans with an overarching strategy
  • Enable success by collaborating with multiple cross functional internal teammates and external planning counterparts
  • Act as the planning point person for the product line in the office
  • Collaborate regularly with a variety of groups and individuals, including (but not limited to): sales, merchandising, planning, marketplace teams, brand, as well as various external contributors and leaders
  • Participate in a team structure that facilitates individual and team performance, supporting and encouraging an open and inclusive environment that embraces diversity, encourages accountability, and drives toward results
