Job Title: Customer Service / Billing Specialist
Location: Avon Lake, OH 44012
Contract length: 4-month Contract
Pay: $20/hr - $22.13/hr
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- 2+ years of customer service, billing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns professionally
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft O5ice (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in accordance with service agreements and pricing terms
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries, providing timely and professional support via phone and email
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, adjustments, credits, and disputes
- Verify supporting documentation (service tickets, work orders, purchase orders, contracts) prior to invoicing
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and accounting teams to ensure billing accuracy and issue resolution
- Assist with accounts receivable functions, including payment posting and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Support month-end closing processes, reporting, and audit documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and enhance customer experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory or contractual requirements
