Pay Range: $27-33/hour 

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our client with the effective, efficient, and timely delivery of their services.

Technicians utilize multiple trade skills and are provided a company van, tools, and equipment. This is a home-based position, with daily routes accessed through a company-provided iPad and iPhone. 

Technicians will perform work in the following trades:

  • Carpentry

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical

  • Locksmith

  • Painting

  • Roofing


The Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. The position includes travel to a variety of customer sites to maintain commercial properties and support customer requirements through face-to-face service.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with work order requirements.

  • Perform all work in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including:

    • Unclogging toilets and drains

    • Repairing leaks in drains and faucets

    • Replacing toilets and faucet fixtures as needed

  • Perform routine painting and carpentry work to maintain client facilities in like-new condition, including:

    • Repairing holes in drywall

    • Prepping areas for repair

    • Matching paint to provide a uniform, original appearance

  • Perform minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license and in accordance with state law, including:

    • Repairing or replacing fixtures

    • Replacing wall switches and outlets

    • Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets as needed

  • Complete service inspections and asset inspections as required.

  • Fully utilize company technology (tablet and smartphone) to:

    • Access and complete work orders, including documenting services performed

    • Create and submit service reports

    • Upload quality inspection images and reports

    • Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs

  • Obtain necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks.

  • Maintain a positive customer environment and support high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain timely and consistent communication with customers and internal support teams.

  • Complete all required EFS safety and compliance training and attend weekly safety meetings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; degree, certification, or equivalent professional experience preferred.

  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following preferred:

    • Landscaping

    • Skilled trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.)

    • Specialty floor care

  • 2-5 years of mechanical experience required, including a combination of:

    • Electrical

    • Plumbing

    • Carpentry

    • Related building trades

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions including safety policies and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status through designated business processes.

  • Proficiency using handheld devices and business systems, including document management/database software.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and related platforms (e.g., Lotus Notes).

  • Ability to comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and safety.

  • Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.

  • Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building systems, including:

    • HVAC

    • Plumbing

    • Electrical

Ability to travel locally between properties on a daily basis.
