Job Title: Maintenance Technician/Carpenter
Location: Cincinatti

$25 - $33 per hour

We are partnering with our cleint to identify a Maintenance Technician/Carpenter in Cincinnati, Ohio for an immediate hire. High-quality standards are a must. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and possess good oral and written communication skills, maintain a professional appearance, and demonstrate a positive attitude. Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

This position constructs and repairs walls, ceilings, flooring, and doors in commercial and industrial establishments.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include the following. Percentages represent approximate time spent on each duty and total 100%.

• Frame metal stud or wood framing – 10%

• Hang and finish drywall in preparation for finishes – 10%

• Erect acoustical ceiling grid and install acoustical ceiling panels – 10%

• Install wood and hollow metal frames and doors, including associated hardware such as locks, closers, and panic devices – 10%

• Install cabinets, casework, and countertops – 10%

• Install prefabricated windows and frames – 10%

• Install vinyl composition tile flooring and carpet tile – 10%

• Install window shades and blinds – 5%

• Assemble and install specialty items such as lockers, benches, toilet accessories, and partitions – 10%

• Install wood trim including base, crown molding, chair rail, and door trim – 10%

• Install commercial modular furniture systems – 5%

Education:
High School Diploma or GED

Business Experience:
4–6 years of related experience

Licenses/Certifications:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic addition and subtraction for measuring and cutting materials

• Ability to work and communicate professionally in occupied environments with a variety of customers
