Product Designer
Location: Remote but local to Cupertino, CA
Schedule: 40 hours
Duration: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay: $54.43-$56.43/hr, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for a Product Designer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 6-month contract, working a remote schedule but local to Cupertino, CA.
Product Designer Qualifications:
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design execution, clear thinking, and user-centered problem solving
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally focused on business tools, platforms, or enterprise applications
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Sketch, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to break down complex workflows into intuitive, usable interfaces
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively
- Awareness of accessibility principles and a commitment to inclusive design
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to contribute to team discussions and decisions
- Interest in how business tools can create real, measurable impact for users
- Enjoy solving real-world problems
- Eager to hone their craft and expand their influence through strong execution and collaboration
- Experience on ad platforms, enterprise/business, or equivalent web based tools is preferred
- Experience designing web-based tools or software for professional or organizational use
- Familiarity working within established design systems and contributing to their evolution
- Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously and adapting to changing priorities
- Curiosity and openness to exploring new approaches through experimentation, data, and feedback
Product Designer Description:
- Contribute to the design of intuitive, user-centered experiences for a suite of advertising and business tools
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate user needs and business requirements into thoughtful design solutions that help organizations operate more effectively and grow their presence
- Explore and iterate, participate in design critiques, and work alongside a talented team to build high-quality, human-centered tools for a diverse range of users
- Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile platforms supporting business and advertising tools
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to deliver thoughtful, effective user experiences
- Participate in design critiques, user research, and usability testing to validate and refine design decisions
- Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints
- Contribute to design system discussions and apply shared patterns to ensure consistency and quality across products
- Identify opportunities to improve design processes, tools, and ways of working within the broader team
