We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise to design and build scalable, AI-driven solutions for accessibility compliance. This is a hands-on role with high visibility and ownership, ideal for engineers who thrive in early-stage environments and want to influence product direction.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement server-side application architecture and APIs (REST, GraphQL)
- Build and maintain Node.js backend services
- Develop and optimize SQL/Postgres schemas and queries
- Implement AWS services (IAM, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, RDS) and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform/CDK)
- Ensure scalability, performance tuning, and caching strategies
- Contribute to frontend development using React, Remix, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Collaborate on AI-driven accessibility features and app enhancements
- Participate in architectural discussions and cross-functional product planning
- 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend expertise: Node.js, API design, server-side architecture
- AWS proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
- SQL/Postgres database design and query optimization
- CS degree or equivalent technical background
- Experience with React/Remix/Next.js and TypeScript
- Familiarity with scalability, performance tuning, and caching
- Shopify app experience (nice-to-have, not required)
- Experience embedding GenAI tools or LLM-based workflows into applications
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Kendra, Step Functions, Glue, Athena
- Shopify development (API, app ecosystem)
- Automated testing experience (Playwright, Selenium)
- Knowledge of WCAG/ADA accessibility standards
- Previous startup experience or entrepreneurial interest
