Our client is looking for an experienced researcher whos energized by the messaging space and products that are designed with user privacy and trust in mind. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners and other researchers to identify user research questions and evaluate product solutions.
Location: 100% Remote - must be local to: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston or San Diego

Job Description
UX Researcher III
Our client is looking for an experienced researcher whos energized by the messaging space and products that are designed with user privacy and trust in mind. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners and other researchers to identify user research questions and evaluate product solutions.
Location: 100% Remote - must be local to: San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Houston or San Diego

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists & engineers to identify research questions
- Collaboratively develop and execute a research roadmap
- Conduct all phases of qualitative/mixed methods UX research (planning, data collection, analysis, reporting)
- Communicate findings and implications to stakeholders
- Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team
Qualifications:
- MA/MS in HCI or social science field (psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, or economics)
- At least 5 years experience conducting user research in an industry setting
- Comfortable with ambiguity and new spaces
- Able to synthesize existing knowledge
- Experience designing and conducting end-to-end user research, including generative and evaluative methods
- Experience conducting remote research
- Qualitative research design, data analysis and reporting (Quantitative research experience a plus)
- Ability to translate research findings to actionable recommendations
- Ability to guide and influence cross-functional partners
- Understanding of user experience principles and the product development process
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
