Key Areas of Responsibility will include (minimum):
  • Prepare complete design packages which may include, but not be limited to, preliminary, conceptual, and construction deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed drawings of parts and assemblies from layouts, designs and working drawings including necessary projections, sectional views and standard specifications.
  • Develop or assist in the development of control circuits for instrument components, logic controllers, and relays.
  • Check detailed sketches and drawings for project applicability and optimal construction.
  • Revise lists, drawings and BOM consistent with engineering changes.
  • Assemble information and reference drawings from a variety of sources.
  • Assist with performing field surveys, documenting existing conditions, and/or recommending various design solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy of completed drawings before final release and verify drawings meet company and industry standards.
  • Check field red-lined drawings and generate accurate as-built drawings as needed.
  • Utilize engineering sketches, specifications and supporting documents in the designing, detailing, documenting, and verifying of instrument parts, subassemblies, assemblies or system configurations.
  • Maintain proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Perform field data gathering when required to complete project deliverables within approved project scope and schedule.
  • Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor.
Required Education and Qualifications:

 Associate Degree in Drafting Design Technology or equivalent experience/degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years related drafting experience required.
  • 5+ years’ experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must possess strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well on a team required.
  • Must pay high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong planning and decision-making skills required.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Designer with 7+ years of experience to join our team in our Nashville, TN office. The qualified candidate will perform assignments associated with designing components, structures and/or electrical systems.
This is a 12+ month project-based contract opportunity with the possibility of going direct for the right candidate. This will be a home and in-office hybrid schedule.
