Position Summary: The Electro-Mechanic is a full-time position responsible for preventative, predictive and routine maintenance. Electro-Mechanic involves setup, installation, troubleshooting, repair, optimization of production/equipment while ensuring maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity Electro-mechanic maintenance with 3 phase 480V electrical experience, controls ladder logic, trouble-shooting knowledge, and experience with preventive maintenance programs
Locates sources of problems by observing electrical/mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with use of rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer' s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Complies with OSHA safety and health rules. Supports Corporate safety initiatives.
Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product distribution.
Works with Maintenance Lead and Operations Management to resolve electrical/mechanical issues to ensure smooth operations during production.
Understands standard manufacturing and warehouse metrics and prioritize work in support of organizational goals. Ability to utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Assists and participates in diagnosing and fixing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
Maintains time and production records accurately.
Displays a high regard for personal safety and safety of others while adhering to all warehouse safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.
Consults with the Director of Operations to coordinate preventative maintenance activities and process improvements efforts.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. A
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide. A
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. A A Experience/Training/Education:
2+ years of experience and a working knowledge of electro-mechanical maintenance (conveyors, power equipment, industrial breaker boxes) Experience with hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools Must possess a High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Forklift certification preferred.
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings (schematics).
Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Maintenance/ Electrical certifications are a plus.
Physical Demands:
Must regularly lift and/or move up 48-pounds Must be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl daily throughout scheduled shift
