Social Media Project Manager
Location: Culver City, CA
Onsite: Tues/Wed/Thurs
Pay: $3600 per week DOE
Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401K

Planet Interactive is seeking a Social Media Project Manager to work with our prominent technology client on a 3-month contract. This role will require a hybrid schedule onsite in their Culver City office and does include the potential to be extended.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of one of the largest TV services by playing a pivotal role supporting the end-to-end production cycle of brand social initiatives. This includes: editorial development, key brand priorities, awards programming, repeatable formats and tastemaker initiatives. Additionally, individual will have fundamental role in ensuring smooth operation of department functionality and its relationship and management of agency partners.

Social Media Project Manager Key Qualifications
  • At least 5-7 years of marketing experience working for global brands with an emphasis on integrated communications.
  • Experience with balancing work in a fast-paced, creatively-driven organization through a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent project and time management skills are required, as are adaptability and flexibility.
  • Critical thinking skills are crucial to ensure comfort in navigating and ensuring alignment with evolving campaign and brand strategy.
  • Problem solving skills and a high level of organizational acumen to assess threats and navigate by applying a rigorous attention to detail.
  • Extensive background in social, digital and video asset creation and approval cycles.
  • Communication and negotiation skills for building cross-functional rapport, credibility and influence with multiple partners working a highly matrix’d organization.

Social Media Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Creative Development Sessions & Brand Programming Support — Aid the functionality, output and success of the of the creative development sessions and brand programming workstreams, from priority and agenda management, scheduling, internal & external communications, support content creation needs (including sourcing material, cross-referencing legal materials, etc.) and facilitating approvals through publishing.
  • Brand Programming Support - Support Creative Producer with brand programming management including ensuring programming and releases are up to date. Requires familiarity with release schedule to be reflected in brand creative (monthly repeatables etc)
  • Awards — Support Creative Producer in upcoming awards (film and tv) for sustain and nomination/ winner support including event coverage and real-time publishing oversight. Support from prepping creative, stakeholder review and ensuring quality control.
  • Publishing and Channel Support across films and TV accounts - Assist in publishing and channel management with a primary focus on Youtube. Support Creative Producer team across YouTube in programming initiatives, calendar planning and reviewing content prior to going live. Fluent in Social Media best practices and channel updates, go-to for platform developments. Support in moderation and content sweeps across channels.
  • Process Optimization — Proactively brainstorm and contribute to the development and streamlining of processes and operations to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness. Implement solutions to improve workflow, communication, and collaboration across the team.
  • Operation Support — Input and manage relevant information to cross-functional databases (i.e. update title information, resourcing, brand and department links, etc.)
  • Vendor Integration & Support — Liaison between the brand team and agency vendors, ensuring seamless integration (i.e. facilitating Access Manager, badge access). Keep vendors abreast of brand and department updates. Intimate knowledge with security protocols.
