Our client is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals and make a significant impact on critical transportation infrastructure projects.
Role description:
As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing transportation infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on rail, light rail, and subway systems, including track, switches/controls, traction power, station, and tunnel projects.
Role accountabilities:
- Overseeing and coordinating work between all applicable parties to ensure smooth project execution.
- Reviewing and managing project documents, including Requests for Information (RFI's) and Submittals, to ensure compliance with client specifications and contract requirements.
- Leading negotiations with contractors and assisting in preparing change documentation.
- Working closely with project management staff to prepare project budgets and manage project scope, budget, and schedule effectively.
- Providing insightful analysis and reporting on key performance metrics to monitor project progress.
- Implementing appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and the contractor, fostering strong working relationships.
- 5 – 10 years of proven experience in construction management, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certifications.
