ServiceNow Contractor / Functional Lead
Contract: 12 months C2H
Location: Bridgewater, NJ- Remote 
Pay range: $109-$114/hr.
 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Functional Lead to drive strategic platform initiatives across the enterprise. This role will serve as the primary functional owner for ServiceNow within the Enterprise Applications organization, partnering closely with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, and deliver transformative solutions that improve employee experience and business operations.

This position is focused on platform implementation, enhancement, and expansion rather than traditional IT operations support. The successful candidate will play a key role in extending ServiceNow beyond ITSM into enterprise business functions including Procurement, HR, and Employee Experience. This contract opportunity offers the potential to evolve into an Associate Director or Director-level leadership position based on performance and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive ServiceNow initiatives across Enterprise Applications from intake through deployment and adoption.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, functional leaders, and executive sponsors to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements-gathering activities to define business needs and solution strategies.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions and functional designs.
  • Manage projects through the complete lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and project closure.
  • Drive ServiceNow adoption across non-IT business functions and support the platform's integration into the organization's operating model.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and enterprise application owners to deliver integrated business solutions.
  • Provide thought leadership on ServiceNow capabilities, roadmap planning, and business process optimization.
  • Support organizational change management and user adoption initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives Employee Portal
  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of a centralized employee portal and employee experience platform.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to define requirements and improve employee self-service capabilities.
  • Drive user adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
Source-to-Pay (S2P) / Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Support the implementation of procurement and source-to-pay capabilities within ServiceNow.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Drive integration efforts between ServiceNow and ERP platforms.
HR Service Delivery
  • Expand and enhance ServiceNow HR Service Delivery capabilities.
  • Improve employee support processes, case management, and service delivery workflows.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working with ServiceNow in a functional leadership, business analyst, product owner, or solution lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements management experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle:
    • Requirements Gathering
    • Solution Design
    • Implementation
    • Testing & Deployment
    • Project Closure
  • Experience supporting Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
  • Experience implementing Employee Portal or Employee Center solutions.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and enterprise application integrations.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with HR, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise business processes and digital transformation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
  • Experience expanding ServiceNow into business functions beyond traditional IT operations.
  • ServiceNow certifications preferred.
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs and operating model changes.
