Workday Technology Manager
Onsite | Full-Time | HR Technology Leadership
We're partnering with an organization seeking a highly experienced Workday Technology Manager to lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing optimization of key Workday technology solutions, including Reporting, Prism Analytics, Integrations, and Workday Extend.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Workday technology leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership. You'll oversee a growing HR technology function while remaining hands-on in the design and delivery of scalable Workday solutions that drive business value.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Workday platform technologies, experience leading teams, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to improve system performance and user experience.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of Workday technology solutions, including:
- Workday Reporting
- Workday Prism Analytics
- Workday Integrations
- Workday Extend
- Manage and mentor a team of Workday technologists while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture
- Oversee intake, prioritization, and execution of Workday-related requests and initiatives
- Design and deliver Workday Extend solutions to support evolving HR business needs
- Establish governance standards for reporting, analytics, integrations, and development best practices
- Partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to align technology capabilities with business goals
- Lead Workday release planning, upgrades, testing coordination, and rollout strategies
- Provide operational support and continuous optimization of Workday systems
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for HR technology initiatives across the organization
- 8+ years of HR technology experience, including deep hands-on Workday expertise
- Strong experience supporting and optimizing:
- Workday HCM
- Complex Workday configurations
- Calculated fields
- Reporting and dashboard development
- 5+ years of Workday implementation, support, or operational experience
- Extensive experience building and supporting Workday integrations
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Workday Extend
- Workday Prism Analytics
- Workday Reporting & Dashboards
- Orchestrations and automation
- Experience designing and maintaining:
- Advanced reports
- Scorecards
- Composite and matrix reports
- Executive dashboards and hubs
- Strong understanding of enterprise HR systems, data flows, security, and governance
- Prior leadership or management experience with technical teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver complex initiatives successfully
- Experience with ERP or enterprise system implementations
- Configuration experience across HR and Financial systems
- Workday certifications are strongly preferred, particularly in:
- Integrations
- Extend
- Prism Analytics
- Reporting
- Experience with database concepts and technical data structures
- Background in building scalable HR technology ecosystems
