General Summary of Position:
The Staff Accountant is part of the U.S. Finance team and reports directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, well-organized, and possesses strong analytical abilities along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This role is responsible for a range of general accounting functions, including ensuring adherence to company policies and requirements, supporting the sales validation process, and preparing monthly account reconciliations and other activities related to the financial close process.
Key responsibilities:
- Learn and perform the sales validation process for assigned territories/zones
- Reconcile customer payments using bank and credit card merchant data, and update records in Salesforce
- Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance
- Analyze and process accounts payable invoices
- Support the weekly check and payment run by completing required tasks
- Prepare the fixed asset reconciliation and depreciation
- Perform additional account reconciliations as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Working knowledge of accounting principles related to job responsibilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Solutions-oriented person with developed analytical / problem solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in repetitive tasks
Education and Experience Requirements
- BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
- 1-3 years Accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Office Suite
- Experience with QuickBooks, Odoo, and Concur is preferred but not required
