Job Description
The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Video Editor to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical client. This person will create compelling, story-driven video content and plays a key role in planning and executing video shoots. This role combines strong editorial judgment with hands-on production support to deliver polished, on-brand work.
- Pay: $41-46.06/hr depending on experience
- Location: Hybrid in Mettawa, IL (Onsite T-TR)
- Edit high-quality video content that aligns with brand and creative objectives
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and creative leadership to craft engaging visual stories
- Shape narrative, pacing, and tone across interview-driven ("talking head"), documentary-style, and branded content
- Ensure brand consistency and technical excellence across all deliverables
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines with creative quality
- Stay current with editing techniques, production workflows, and emerging tools
- Partner with creative and project managers to align on goals, timelines, and expectations
- Lead by example through strong creative execution, communication, and collaboration
- Support video shoots, including developing shot lists, lighting setups, and equipment needs
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in video production, post-production, or an agency/creative environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects); experience with audio editing required
- Familiarity with AI tools and/or 3D workflows is a plus
- Strong portfolio demonstrating narrative storytelling, interview-driven ("talking head") content, motion graphics, and typographic sensibility
- Strong communication and organizational skills
