Inventory Coordinator
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Contract length: ~4 months
Schedule: Santa Fe Springs, CA (traveling to warehouses and studio locations)
Pay: $21-26.84/hr, DOE
The Planet Group is looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 4-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will work out of Santa Fe Springs, CA, traveling to warehouses and studio locations.
Inventory Coordinator Qualifications:
- 3+ years Inventory Control or relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of photo studio logistics and inventory management
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with a diverse group or people
- Computer savvy with an intimate understanding with advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach and twist
- Expert in Excel, experience auditing data and providing insight
- Experience with process innovation, providing feedback and insight for process improvement
- Experience managing cross functional communications with studio teams, special assets team, liquidation teams, logistics coordinators, and merch operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach and twist
- Experience writing scripts in excel and tableau, SQL experience, Airtable preferred
- Familiar with apparel seasons, skew assortments, photo productions preferred
- Previous Warehouse and or Inventory Management experience
- Previous photo studio experience
- Knowledge of apparel and footwear products
- Experience working with Tableau
- Experience working with Airtable

Inventory Coordinator Description:
- Develop and maintain inventory management operations
- Develop, implement, enforce and regularly evaluate/improve inventory management processes
- Work across multiple functions using data, and product in a high volume and fast-paced studio production environment
- Think ahead to accurately and efficiently support the daily inbound & outbound tasks that are required in preparation for photo production within the studio
- Coordinate effectively and drive continuous process improvements
- Coordinate and oversee processes to completion
- Work in excel and inventory management systems
- Ability to contribute to a team culture of continuous improvement and be a part of a highly engaged merchandise management team
- Conduct a daily pull & ship list of products to distribute across studio locations for production in a timely matter
- Stock, relocate, and organize merchandise storage areas within the Photo Studio and offsite inventory storage
- Proactively identify, communicate, and solve any inventory issues that arise throughout the production process
- Audit inventory locations conduct tagging updates for accuracy and initiates corrective procedures if product is missing
- Coordinate and process return of merchandise once production is complete
- Responsible for inventory accuracy while monitoring control of inventory integrity in all locations
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Support a culture of continuous improvement where teams are encouraged to drive change
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and training materials for new and existing staff to enforce accurate inventory operations
- Conduct regular inventory audits and report out results as required
- Maintain and manage product location and identification program and report out any discrepancies with inventory
- Take the necessary corrective action to problem solve issues
- Facilitate an accurate and timely liquidation of merchandise
- Update and document inventory management workflows to meet KPI/SLA standards
- Virtually monitor Inventory integrity of global studios
- Ensure studio processes meets or exceeds product security standards
- Other duties as assigned
