Overview

We are seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to support a large industrial facility through long-range turnaround planning and execution. This role is ideal for a scheduler who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, and is comfortable owning schedule integrity from early planning through execution.

This is an onsite position, with flexibility to structure compensation as an all-inclusive rate.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain detailed Turnaround Event (TAR) schedules using Primavera P6, covering both pre-TAR and execution phases.
  • Build schedules based on input from event managers, planners, contractors, engineers, operations, and execution teams.
  • Ensure all schedule logic is fully driven, accurate, and aligned with best practices.
  • Load and manage resources within the schedule, including manpower and contractor inputs.
  • Analyze schedule performance, including critical and near-critical paths, float, trends, and milestone impacts.
  • Update schedules with real-time progress data and communicate changes or risks to key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule progress reports, trending analysis, and performance dashboards.
  • Participate in interactive planning workshops and lean construction planning sessions.
  • Support recovery planning by identifying slippage, longest paths, and schedule mitigation options.
  • Integrate turnaround schedules with project schedules to ensure alignment and scope coordination.
  • Incorporate discovery work and approved changes into live schedules during execution.
  • Review contractor progress reports, workforce data, and performance metrics to validate alignment between field activity and schedule tracking.
  • Interface directly with contractors to collect updates and, when necessary, integrate external schedules.
  • Conduct field visits to validate progress and support schedule accuracy.
  • Support development of schedule documentation such as a Basis of Schedule or Schedule Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with cost teams to support schedule and cost integration as a single source of truth.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and execution realities common in turnaround environments.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience on medium to large industrial or construction projects.
  • 2+ years of direct experience supporting plant turnarounds (TARs).
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logic development, and schedule integration.
  • Proven ability to evaluate schedule integrity, float, and logic ties.
  • Experience managing and integrating multiple schedules across stakeholders and contractors.
  • Strong analytical skills with a clear, structured approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable facilitating discussions and driving alignment.
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 reporting tools and schedule analysis.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and standard enterprise systems.
  • Ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholder groups to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
