Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced and certified Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Analyst III to join their team in a full-time, fully remote capacity. This is a great opportunity to work within a collaborative revenue cycle team supporting ongoing build, optimization, and system enhancements.
Location: 100% Remote (must reside in approved states: AL, AZ, GA, FL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, MO, NC, NV, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WY)
Required Qualifications:
- Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Certification (required)
- 7+ years of Epic HB experience
- Strong experience with HB Claims processing
- Proven experience with build, configuration, support, and maintenance
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle operations
Job Details:
- Position: Epic HB Analyst III
- Type: Full-Time (FTE)
- Salary: $105,000 - $115,000
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
- Location: 100% Remote (must reside in approved states: AL, AZ, GA, FL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, MO, NC, NV, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily system operations including ticket resolution, maintenance, and enhancements within Epic Hospital Billing
- Lead and support system build, configuration, and optimization efforts across HB workflows
- Participate in implementations, upgrades (quarterly), and system testing (unit, integrated, and UAT)
- Develop functional specifications, process flows, and system documentation for enhancements and modifications
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into effective system solutions
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support operational and financial performance
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
- Support multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously while managing priorities effectively
- Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance across the team
- Lead meetings with end users, drive discussions, and support workflow design and optimization
Preferred Experience:
- Implementation experience within Epic HB
- Experience with clearinghouses, GL (General Ledger), self-pay workflows, and collections
- Exposure to:
- Charge Router / Charge Review
- Hospital insurance follow-up
- Statements and third-party extracts
- Self-pay collections and workflows
- Bed charge billing and Research Billing
- Prior experience leading projects and mentoring team members
