Schedule: Hybrid – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite | Monday & Friday remote


Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Closeout Specialist to support the Enterprise Asset Management function by executing capital project closeouts and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation of completed projects.

This role is responsible for reviewing project expenditures, allocating costs to the appropriate fixed assets, and recording assets within the fixed asset system. The position will also assist with audits, financial verification processes, and continuous improvements to internal closeout procedures.


Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in project cost controls, accounting, finance, or asset management
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting or capital project cost tracking preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with fixed asset management systems
  • Experience using JD Edwards or similar enterprise systems

Key Responsibilities Project Closeout Reviews
  • Review all project spending and compare expenditures against assets created or maintained during project execution
  • Utilize internal systems and reporting tools to ensure accurate allocation of costs to the appropriate assets

Fixed Asset Management
  • Record fixed assets within the JD Edwards fixed asset system
  • Identify and classify assets according to established capitalization policies and asset matrix guidelines

Financial Audits
  • Perform audits of invoices, purchase orders, and payments to ensure proper financial classification and documentation

Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve project closeout workflows
  • Assist with automation and efficiency initiatives within the asset management and financial reporting processes
