Job Description
Job Title: Project Controls Specialist I Cost Analyst
Location: Plainfield, IN 46168
Contract length: 3-year Contract
Pay: $41/hr - $46.70/hr
The Planet Group is seeking a Project Controls Specialist I that has had experience with project controls and worked with individuals of varying levels in various organizations and suppliers.
Project Controls Specialist I Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a two-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated to Working Knowledge with Project Management / Project Controls Concepts / Computer Applications such as Scheduling Software, Financial Tools, Spreadsheets
- Graduation from a four-year college or university -business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent
- PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP)
- Experience using software such as MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Access, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft
- Will work with a team of Project Controls Analysts and Schedulers
- Will work in partnership with a more experienced Project Controls Analyst
- Perform cost forecasting and reporting tasks for a portfolio of projects budgeted anywhere from $10K to $1M annual spend, comparing monthly actuals to the project baseline, identifying variances
- Will require a working knowledge of Excel
- Must have good problem-solving skills and good collaborative, communications skills
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls principles
- Typically, is assigned to “White” or “Green” projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix
