Required:
Bachelors degree (Accounting or Finance)
Understanding of accounting principles and ability to interpret financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

The Junior Accountant supports the expense side of the P&L for three entities, with responsibility across Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Employee Expenses. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate expense allocation, timely processing, and compliance with company policies, while assisting with the month-end close. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain broad, hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and posting of monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets schedule to the balance sheet; set up new fixed assets in the accounting system.
  • Route vendor invoices for approval and review coding for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Collect, maintain, and manage vendor documentation (e.g., W-9s, ACH forms).
  • Ensure invoices comply with the company’s Contract Controls Policy.
  • Prepare and distribute annual 1099s in accordance with IRS requirements and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Process employee expense reports, including receipt review and accurate coding in compliance with company policies.
  • Train new employees on expense report submission and invoice approval processes.
  • Support the annual audit by providing required documentation and reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to invoice payments and expense reports.
  • Perform additional ad hoc duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and Controller.
