Job Description

Varian ARIA Application Analyst (Contract) – Remote – Eastern Time
Award Winning Tech Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Varian ARIA Application Analyst/Builder to support and enhance their oncology information systems. This requires 2+ years in the Varian ARIA or a similar EHR  within oncology. This mid-level role focuses on maintaining and optimizing the Varian ARIA EHR platform, ensuring seamless integration with radiation therapy equipment and clinical workflows. Ideal candidate must have the ability to work east coast hours and reside in the US.

Benefits: 
$40 - $59/hr. 1099 pay
A 6-month remote contract with potential extensions
Opportunity to work with a well-known technology service provider

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, test, and deploy updates and enhancements within the Varian ARIA system
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand workflow needs and translate them into system solutions
  • Support integration between Varian ARIA and treatment planning systems and radiation delivery machines
  • Troubleshoot application and interface issues, escalating as needed
  • Maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials
  • Participate in system upgrades, validation, and change control processes
  • Ensure compliance with data standards (HL7, DICOM) and security protocols
  • Ability to work ET business hours and provide on-call support on a rotating evening and weekend schedule

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting clinical applications, preferably in oncology or healthcare IT
  • Hands-on experience with Varian ARIA and/or Eclipse systems strongly preferred
  •  Familiarity with Citrix environments, Windows Server, and basic networking
  • Understanding of HL7 and DICOM standards
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  •  Ability to drive the team and lead based on best practice in industry

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in a hospital or cancer center setting
  • Knowledge of EMR/EHR integration (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
  • Project management or change control experience
