Job Description
Title: Senior Email Marketing Specialist
Location: Remote - East Coast - Boston area (Plus)
Pay: $59-64 per hour DOE
20 hours a week
6 month contract
The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Email Marketing Specialist to support the strategic planning and tactical execution of our email marketing channel. In this role, you will partner closely with marketing managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and execute email campaigns that enable field teams and drive engagement with target audiences.
As we continue to evolve how we deliver our expertise and solutions, this role will play a key part in building impactful marketing programs aligned with core business priorities
We’re looking for a creative, solution-oriented professional who thrives in ambiguity, leverages data-driven insights, and brings innovative thinking to every initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute email campaigns using established best practices, including:
- Building, testing, and deploying emails in Email Studio
- Performing end-to-end QA (links, rendering, functionality, etc.)
- Managing audiences and distribution lists (ad hoc and via data extensions)
- Scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on email sends
- Supporting basic Journey Builder executions (event-based campaigns)
- Troubleshooting issues to ensure timely and accurate campaign delivery
- Partner with Creative Services to develop and maintain email templates that ensure brand consistency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze KPIs and performance metrics across marketing programs and tools
- Manage projects and workflows through the Adobe Workfront platform
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a marketing-related role (corporate or agency environment)
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
- Strong understanding of responsive email design and development principles
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS preferred
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus
- Solid understanding of marketing principles, campaign execution, and performance analysis
- Strong project management, communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
