Pay70-75per hour
The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Interactive Designer to join the Creative Team This role is ideal for a highly creative, detail-oriented designer who thrives at the intersection of interaction design, art direction, and animation to deliver modern, impactful digital experiences.
You’ll collaborate with a high-performing, cross-functional team to design campaigns, evergreen content, and editorial experiences across key web surfaces—including Newsroom and Business sites—serving advertisers, media agencies, SMBs, and press.
Daily Duties
- Apply user-centered design principles to create engaging, intuitive web experiences
- Lead and drive projects forward in close collaboration with designers, writers, and strategists
- Partner with system designers to expand and scale a design system
- Facilitate design critiques and brainstorming sessions
- Clearly communicate concepts and gather feedback across cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes using Figma AI and other rapid iteration tools
- Present ideas effectively through strong visual, written, and verbal communication
- Take direction and incorporate feedback from design, strategy, and content leads
- Operate autonomously, anticipating next steps and proactively advancing work
- Provide thoughtful, actionable design critique grounded in brand and interaction principles
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- 8+ years of experience in interactive or digital design
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including working within shared libraries and design systems
- Experience designing for global audiences (multiple languages and locales)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and tools
- Experience working within a CMS environment
- Strong ability to translate ideas into clear documentation and presentations
- Exceptional attention to detail across typography, imagery, color, composition, and iconography
- Experience with animation and storyboarding
- Strong art direction skills with a modern design aesthetic
- Up-to-date knowledge of interactive design trends and best practices
