Contract Length: 3-month contract
Schedule: Full Time - 8/40, Hybrid - 3 days in office.
Pay: $30-33.65/hrs
Qualifications (Required):
- Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally with faculty, staff, students, visitors, and vendors.
- Experience handling administrative tasks such as purchasing, reimbursements, payroll processing, and vendor coordination.
- Capability to assist Financial Managers with routine financial or administrative tasks as required
- Strong organizational skills to manage office appearance, visitor interactions, and message handling
Job Description:
This role provides administrative, purchasing, and financial-process support to the Biomedical Engineering department. It manages purchasing, reimbursements, vendor coordination, and student payroll while assisting faculty, staff, and financial managers. The position also oversees front?office operations, including visitor support and communication handling.
- Support the faculty and staff of the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department in day?to?day administrative operations.
- Manage and execute all purchasing processes for the department.
- Make decisions and resolve issues related to vendor support, pricing, and contracted services.
- Serve as a liaison between faculty and all internal financial offices, as well as external vendors or service?contract providers.
- Process and evaluate faculty and staff reimbursement requests to ensure compliance with company and funding?agency guidelines.
- Handle student payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
- The position will also maintain the office appearance, greet and direct visitors, take and relay telephone messages, and provides general information to callers or visitors
- Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally with all stakeholders.
- Provide assistance to the BME department’s Financial Managers as needed.
