About the Role
We are seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler to support large, complex capital construction projects based in Santa Clara, CA. This onsite role is part of a growing project team supporting high-visibility programs within a technically demanding environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed Primavera schedules across multiple disciplines. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and senior stakeholders to manage schedule risk, track progress, and support successful project delivery.
This is a long-term opportunity for a scheduler who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly coordinated construction environment and wants to contribute to major, technically advanced projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams and stakeholders with schedule planning and control activities
- Develop and maintain detailed discipline-level and integrated project schedules
- Coordinate directly with contractors, design-build teams, and trade partners
- Establish, manage, and track project milestones with clearly defined criteria
- Build pull plans and logic-driven schedules aligned with project milestones
- Analyze critical and near-critical path activities and facilitate schedule review sessions
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, gaps, and trends; propose mitigation strategies
- Monitor progress through site coordination and validate reported schedule updates
- Track long-lead items, key approvals, and major deliverables
- Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and what-if scenarios as needed
- Lead and participate in schedule review and status meetings
- Communicate schedule impacts, negative float, and recovery plans to stakeholders
- Support cross-project schedule integration and dependencies
- Provide lessons learned and continuous improvement input throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience
- Approximately 5+ years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience on medium to large construction projects
- Experience supporting large capital or complex construction programs preferred
- Strong understanding of float management, activity logic, and scope integration
- Solid knowledge of construction sequencing across project life cycles
- Experience integrating multiple schedules and working with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and reporting tools (Smartsheet a plus)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Clear, confident communication and presentation abilities
- Certifications such as AACE, PMI, or CMAA are a plus
- Background in high-tech manufacturing, utilities, electrical systems, or similar environments preferred
