Job Title: Sourcing Specialist, Diagnostics Direct Procurement
Location: Tucson AZ USA 857551
Contract Length: 12 month contract - Onsite
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay Range: $35 – $40/hour
Must Haves:
- University degree required, preferably in a business-related field; post-graduate business qualification is a plus.
- 3+ years of procurement experience, including experience with basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and spot buying.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of supporting cost reduction and value improvement programs.
- Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, procure-to-pay tools, and eSourcing tools is desired.
- post-graduate business qualification is a plus.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP software.
- Proven success in proactively managing deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Responsible for executing Direct Procurement Operations activities for Roche Tissue Diagnostics, ensuring alignment with Category Management strategies.
- Focuses on supplier management, escalations, master data management, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilizes quantitative and/or qualitative data to inform and drive decision-making.
- Identifies risks and evaluates information to support conclusions or hypotheses.
- Works independently to develop and implement negotiation strategies; may require assistance with complex negotiations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into procurement specifications while maintaining a customer service mindset.
- Adapts messaging and communications appropriately to ensure stakeholder understanding with limited supervision.
- Actively contributes to meetings, presentations, and briefings; asks relevant questions to gather necessary information.
- Basic proficiency in business enterprise tools and a foundational understanding of the end-to-end procurement process.
