Job Description

Job Title: Front-End Software Engineer
Location: Remote (US-based)
Pay Rate: $65-70 per hour (W2 only terms)
Duration: 6-month contract (40 hours per week, potential extension)

Introduction

We are seeking a talented Front-End Software Engineer to join a high-impact product development team. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and enjoy building scalable, user-facing applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in modern web development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality code in an agile setting.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Haves)
  • 4+ years of professional, hands-on software development experience
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript (ES6)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in at least one front-end framework: React, Angular, Vue, Polymer, or LIT
  • Strong knowledge of CSS and building responsive web applications
  • Experience working with HTTP APIs, REST, and related protocols
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, caching, and scalable data storage
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
  • Experience with GraphQL or Thrift
  • Familiarity with Web Components
  • Background designing and implementing maintainable APIs
  • Prior mentorship or leadership experience within engineering teams
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build new features and user-facing functionality
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment
  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
  • Maintain high code quality standards while delivering in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to engineering best practices and help improve team workflows
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
