Duration: 3 months

Summary:
The client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Senior Epic Health Information Management (HIM) Consultant with deep expertise across all HIM modalities. As a key member of our healthcare technology consulting practice, you will lead complex implementations, optimizations, and digital health transformations for major healthcare provider organizations. We are looking for an expert who can architect enterprise-grade HIM strategies, streamline release of information, chart deficiency tracking, document imaging, and transcription workflows while mentoring junior team members and guiding clients through operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workflow & Process Transformation: Partner closely with health information management leadership, compliance officers, and clinical stakeholders to modernize legacy record operations and align system workflows with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Complex Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Analyze intricate operational bottlenecks, resolve advanced system configuration issues, and architect scalable solutions that ensure data integrity, privacy, and seamless health record interoperability.

  • Testing & Upgrade Support: Design comprehensive test scenarios, oversee integrated testing cycles, and manage system validation during regular Epic upgrades and optimization packs.

  • Advisory & Leadership: Act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance to client leadership, conducting knowledge transfer workshops, and supporting junior analysts throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on configuration, implementation, and optimization experience with Epic HIM across multiple modalities.

  • Current, active Epic HIM Certification.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful HIM transformations within large hospitals, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or multi-facility health systems.

  • Comprehensive understanding of medical record legal health record definitions, HIPAA compliance, HIM operations, and electronic document management integration.
