IFS Developer Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IFS Technical Developer to develop, customize, integrate, and support our IFS ERP environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in IFS development, system integrations, and Oracle SQL development to deliver effective solutions that support business operations and improve system functionality.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and maintaining IFS customizations, building and troubleshooting integrations using IFS Connect, and creating database objects and reports. Experience with .NET technologies, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), PL/SQL, and T-SQL is highly desirable. Familiarity with Novacura is a plus but not required.

• Develop, test, implement, and maintain customizations, scripts, and integrations within the IFS ERP system.
• Design, develop, and optimize database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and queries.
• Develop and maintain Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to support ERP functionality, reporting, and data management.
• Design, build, and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and other applicable reporting tools.
• Configure and develop custom fields, events, modules, and other technical enhancements within IFS ERP.
• Develop, configure, and support integrations between IFS ERP and third-party applications using IFS Connect, APIs, and middleware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving ERP functionality, database performance, integrations, and APIs.
• Respond to technical support tickets and service requests in accordance with established IT support policies and service-level expectations.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), system upgrades, patching, and regression testing to ensure the quality and stability of ERP enhancements.
• Monitor assigned deliverables, manage competing priorities, and ensure projects and technical tasks are completed on schedule.
• Document technical processes, system configurations, integrations, and architecture to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Stay current with IFS ERP development practices, integration technologies, database tools, and relevant industry trends.

• Demonstrated hands-on technical development experience with IFS ERP, including the ability to develop, customize, troubleshoot, and maintain the system.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting ERP integrations, particularly using IFS Connect.
• Solid experience with Oracle SQL development, including writing complex queries and developing database objects.
• Experience with PL/SQL and relational database concepts, including stored procedures, views, and performance optimization.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting APIs, interfaces, and integrations between enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.

• Experience with .NET technologies and application development.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with Novacura development tools and solutions.
• Experience supporting ERP upgrades, patches, testing, and production environments.
• Experience documenting technical specifications, system architecture, and support procedures.

• IFS ERP Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IFS architecture, customizations, and development capabilities.
• Integration Development: Ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations using IFS Connect, APIs, and middleware.
• Database Development: Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with an understanding of database design and optimization.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Ability to identify root causes and implement timely, sustainable solutions.
• Quality and Reliability: Commitment to testing, documentation, and maintaining stable, reliable ERP functionality.
• Project and Time Management: Ability to balance competing demands and deliver quality work within established timelines.

This role works closely with IT, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to maintain and enhance the organization's ERP environment. The position requires a combination of development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and ongoing application support responsibilities.


Salary:
$100,000-$120,000 USD
