Logistics Analyst - Junior
Location: Marlborough MA. remote
Pay: $25/hr - $30/hr, (DOE)

As the Logistics Analyst - Junior, you are a crucial part of our supply chain network, providing solutions daily to key strategic business partners and supporting the flow of goods from domestic vendors to stores. You'll ensure we get the right product, to the right place, at the right time, helping keep operations running efficiently. Working in a fast-paced retail business, no day will be the same!
You will coordinate the resolution of transactional inbound logistics issues through partnership with carriers, vendors, and the Inbound Planning Team. You will handle incoming requests through various channels such as phone and email and take initiative to resolve issues for carriers and vendors involving shipments that have been assigned/routed for pickup at vendor locations and delivery to company locations. You will provide operational reporting and assist with special assignments with the Planning team.
The Responsibilities You Will Have in This Role:- Manage communication with carriers and vendors through the Inbound Email box as well as by phone;
- Take initiative to professionally resolve operational issues with carriers and vendors that result in efficient freight movements, ensuring pickups from vendors and deliveries to company locations occur on time;
- Coordinate with carriers to assess, track, and report to internal stakeholders on delays that could be associated with weather, railroad line closures, and other disruptions;
- Provide daily and weekly reporting to the Domestic Transportation Team;
- Manage operational processes within the Inbound Transportation team;
- Monitor reporting and take action to resolve shipments that are not within defined compliance parameters;
- Evaluate routing options based on department, ladder plan, transit times, and vendor pickup requirements;
- Recommend optimal transportation solutions using Less Than Truckload (LTL), Truckload (TL), Intermodal, Consolidation, and Continuous Move methods;
- Create optimal freight movements by maximizing cube, cartons, and weight;
- Minimize out-of-route miles and reduce stop-offs to improve carrier sourcing and acceptance for assigned regions.
- 1-5 years of logistics, supply chain, or relevant internship experience;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite experience:
- Excel (analyzing data, pivot tables);
- Outlook (significant time spent emailing to resolve time-sensitive matters);
- Word and PowerPoint;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where products move quickly through the supply chain and incoming requests require prompt action;
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations and provide alternative solutions;
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external business partners;
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities quickly based on business demands;
- Customer service mentality, with a strong focus on providing a high level of service to key business partners;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed inferences.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;
- Transportation experience;
- Transportation Management System experience;
- Blue Yonder experience.
