Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - On-site Tue/Wed/Thu)

Job Type: W2 Contract (Potential to Convert)

Pay Rate: Up to $70.00 - $75.00/hr W2

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Analytics Consultant with deep Amplitude expertise to lead product analytics initiatives across a diverse portfolio of 70+ web, mobile, and cloud applications.

In this role, you will work directly with Product Managers, Engineering, QA, and business leaders to define user journey KPIs, design tracking taxonomies, build executive dashboards, and turn raw product interaction data into actionable growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dashboarding & Product Insights: Build and maintain advanced Amplitude dashboards, conversion funnels, retention cohorts, user journey maps, and feature engagement reports.

  • Event Taxonomy & Tracking Standards: Define event instrumentation requirements, user property schemas, and event-to-KPI mapping across new and existing application features.

  • Data Quality & Governance: Identify tracking gaps, duplicate events, and data discrepancies; establish data validation processes and tracking standards across portfolio applications.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to review release plans, validate tag implementations, and ensure accurate data capture prior to deployment.

  • Documentation & Enablement: Create comprehensive analytics documentation, event dictionaries, and self-serve reporting frameworks to upskill product and business teams.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of dedicated experience in Product Analytics, Digital Analytics, or Business Intelligence.

  • Must-Have Amplitude Expertise: Proven hands-on experience designing, implementing, and analyzing user behavior inside Amplitude Analytics.

  • Product Metrics Mastery: Deep understanding of user activation, retention/cohort analysis, feature adoption, conversion/drop-off funnels, and user segmentation.

  • Tracking & QA: Demonstrated experience defining event taxonomies, diagnosing tracking errors, and troubleshooting reporting discrepancies.

  • Communication: Exceptional client-facing and cross-functional communication skills with a track record of translating complex data into business strategy.

  • Ability to work on-site in Chicago, IL 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) on a direct W2 basis.

Preferred Qualifications (Strong Pluses)
  • Experience managing analytics across multi-product enterprise environments or portfolio ecosystems (70+ apps).

  • Familiarity with SDKs, automatic event capture, precision tracking, and event enrichment.

  • Background working within enterprise, regulated, or high-security cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of data privacy, governance standards, and user access controls.
