Job Description:
This role supports the day-to-day operations of a private credit portfolio, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely loan servicing, trade settlement, cash management, and reconciliations. The analyst will work closely with the Loan Operations team and offshore support partners, following established procedures and controls while independently managing daily activities and resolving operational issues. This position is ideal for someone who can quickly learn processes, work with limited day-to-day supervision, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.models.
The team is newly formed and managing a significant workload, so this role is best suited for someone who can quickly ramp up from written procedures and a brief handoff with minimal day-to-day direction.
Key Responsibilities- Process daily loan servicing activity across a private credit portfolio, including agent notices, rate resets and rollovers, drawdowns and delayed-draw activity, paydowns, PIK, and interest and fee accrual reviews.
- Support trade settlement for syndicated and private loan trades, including document review and settlement follow-up.
- Process cash, prepare and confirm wires, and investigate cash breaks.
- Reconcile positions and cash between internal records, agent and custodian records, and fund administrator records.
- Process lifecycle events, including amendments and corporate actions, and accurately capture changes to loan terms across systems of record.
- Handle exceptions, work toward resolution, escalate issues appropriately, and clearly document actions taken.
- Partner with offshore support teams on reconciliation, cash operations, and trade operations queues.
- Complete routine reporting and data-quality checks on loan and position data.
- 4-8 years of experience in loan operations, loan servicing, or middle-office operations within an asset manager, alternative investment firm, insurer, bank, or fund administrator.
- Working knowledge of the syndicated and private loan lifecycle, including agent notice interpretation and rate-setting mechanics.
- Familiarity with private credit structures, including revolvers and delayed-draw facilities.
- Trade settlement experience under LSTA or LMA documentation.
- Reconciliation experience with the ability to independently research and resolve breaks.
- Comfortable working within established controls and maintaining appropriate audit documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams, agent banks, and fund administrators.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with WSO, Allvue, eFront, or comparable loan administration platforms.
- Exposure to IBOR and ABOR environments.
- Experience quickly ramping up and providing coverage during project periods.
- Experience working with offshore delivery teams.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini in an operations environment.
