Job Description

 Outbound Campaign Manager

  • Location: Remote

  • Duration: 6 months to start

  • Pay: $40 - $45 (W2 and benefit options

Role summary:
Support client's SMB Growth Marketing team by owning quality assurance and launch readiness for outbound and account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns. Review the details from target lists and AI enrichments through system handoffs and the email a prospect receives. This hands-on individual contributor helps the team launch polished, accurate campaigns faster and gives the campaign lead more time for strategy and new campaign ideas.

Engagement: Initial one-quarter pilot, 10-20 hours per week, with a maximum of 20 hours weekly. The campaign lead owns strategy and launch decisions; Marketing Operations and platform owners handle technical changes.

Core responsibilities:

  • Validate target lists against the campaign brief: company and contact fit, job titles, geography, website relevance, accurate names and emails, and required fields. Spot-check representative records and investigate patterns.

  • Check deduplication, exclusions, outreach eligibility, and sales-rep assignments against approved rules. Confirm the right regional reps, consistent assignment within each account, and a clear, final list for execution teams.

  • Review AI-generated enrichments and personalization for accuracy, relevance, and natural language. Check claims against sources, catch invented or weak details, and suggest improvements to prompts, inputs, or fallback copy.

  • QA every email step and variant against approved messaging. Check greetings, company names, offers, dates, tone, grammar, calls to action, booking links, and personalization fields; flag anything missing, awkward, or misleading.

  • Trace sample contacts through Clay, HubSpot, Salesforce, and the sending platform. Verify field mappings, campaign and sequence versions, sender details, enrollment, suppression, and timing against the intended campaign setup.

  • Coordinate test sends and inspect received emails for formatting, spacing, links, signatures, and personalization. Spot-check early live sends and recheck affected outputs after list, copy, enrichment, or workflow changes.

  • Follow up with Marketing Operations, Sales, and content partners on missing inputs, fixes, and launch dependencies. Provide clear examples, confirm corrections, and keep the campaign lead informed of blockers.

  • Maintain a concise campaign QA record covering checks completed, issues, owners, and recheck results. Make routine content or data corrections within agreed access, and route platform issues to the relevant owner.

Profile:

  • Approximately 3-4 years of marketing experience, including campaign marketing, marketing operations, product marketing, growth, demand generation, or a related function.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the judgment to recognize a small error that could change an email's meaning or recipient experience.

  • A practical, investigative approach: follow a record across tools, compare expected and actual results, and explain what needs fixing.

  • Clear written communication and reliable follow-through with colleagues across marketing and sales.

  • Comfortable owning detailed execution work independently and prioritizing campaign checks within a part-time schedule.

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on Clay experience: navigate tables, inspect enrichment inputs and outputs, and assess personalization quality.

  • Hands-on Salesforce experience: navigate Accounts, Leads, Contacts, ownership, campaign records, and activity to validate campaign data and flag exceptions.

  • Hands-on HubSpot experience: inspect lists, contact properties, workflow enrollment, and campaign or email setup.

  • Strong AI fluency: use AI tools efficiently, evaluate outputs critically, and refine prompts while checking the resulting work.

  • Sound marketing judgment and campaign QA skills: assess audience fit, message clarity, and whether the final email delivers the intended message.

  • Confident spreadsheet skills for filtering, comparing lists, finding duplicates, and spotting missing or inconsistent data.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Gong Engage experience, including sequences, task status, sender setup, and email execution.

  • Direct email marketing, outbound, or ABM campaign experience.

  • Experience in B2B, SMB, advertising, or ad-tech marketing.

  • Familiarity with email rendering, basic HTML, dynamic copy or spintax, and deliverability fundamentals.

  • Experience reviewing AI-assisted marketing workflows or maintaining repeatable campaign QA processes.

Success measures for the pilot

  • Fewer preventable targeting, personalization, and email-quality errors reaching prospects, with fixes verified before launch.

  • Faster campaign readiness and less senior time spent reviewing details, rechecking work, and chasing dependencies, compared with the starting baseline.

  • Reliable completion of agreed QA checks and follow-ups within the weekly hours, with recurring issues translated into practical process improvements
