We are seeking an experienced Engineering Analyst II to support data governance, engineering drawing migration, and asset information management within the Data and Systems Strategy organization.

This role will help ensure engineering and asset information is accurate, organized, properly classified, and easy to find and use. The position will play a key role in migrating and improving a large portfolio of engineering drawings by reviewing records, identifying data quality issues, correcting metadata, resolving hierarchy and classification challenges, and validating migrated information.

The Engineering Analyst II will work closely with Asset Information Management (AIM), Engineering, Operations, Drafting, Technical Information Systems, and external service providers to improve data quality and strengthen information governance and turnover processes.

• Support the planning, execution, validation, and reporting of large-scale engineering drawing migration initiatives.
• Inventory and profile engineering drawing repositories to identify gaps in metadata, hierarchy, and classification.
• Review engineering records and determine appropriate classifications and hierarchy structures.
• Perform data cleansing, remediation, and metadata correction activities to improve data quality and searchability.
• Conduct data quality assessments to identify:
  • Missing information
  • Inconsistent metadata
  • Duplicate records
  • Classification issues
  • Hierarchy gaps
  • Mapping errors
• Validate migrated engineering drawings and associated metadata for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in testing to confirm improvements to document searchability, accessibility, and usability.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, Drafting, Operations, AIM, and external service providers to resolve data issues.
• Facilitate discussions around hierarchy, classification, metadata, and data mapping requirements.
• Document findings, issues, resolutions, and data quality results.
• Track migration activities, progress, and quality metrics and prepare status reports.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of asset information turnover processes.
• Help establish consistent data governance practices across Operations, Engineering, Projects, and AIM.
• Translate technical data requirements into clear information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, processes, reporting, and information management.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data governance, data management, information management, or a related discipline, preferably within the energy sector.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, frameworks, and data quality practices.
• Understanding of data management within the pipeline or energy industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Asset Information Management, Drafting, Technical Information Systems, Compliance, and external service providers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

• Experience with pipeline asset management systems, GIS, or engineering document management systems.
• Experience managing SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, or document repositories.
• Experience using PowerApps for forms, workflows, or business processes.
• Experience with Power BI, including dashboards, reporting, or data visualization.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts.
• Experience supporting data governance within an asset-intensive organization.
• Familiarity with pipeline industry standards and asset information management best practices.
• Experience with engineering drawing/document migration or remediation projects.
• Experience working with safety-critical infrastructure data.
