Research Assistant
Location: Boston MA 02163
Rate: $20-22 per hour
Duration:  2 - 3 weeks 

The Research Assistant provides support to faculty research and academic initiatives, including course and curriculum development, scholarly research, and data collection. This position assists with qualitative and quantitative research activities, gathers and analyzes information, and contributes to the preparation of research materials and presentations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, proficient in Excel, and able to work independently with limited oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist faculty with course and curriculum development efforts, scholarly research, and data collection activities.
  • Support research projects through writing, editing, data gathering, and information collection.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research activities as directed.
  • Develop an understanding of relevant research topics and subject matter to effectively support research initiatives.
  • Plan and conduct interviews, surveys, and literature reviews.
  • Collect, organize, and validate background data and information.
  • Match and reconcile data from multiple sources to support research projects.
  • Synthesize research findings and assist with analyzing and interpreting results.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, reports, articles, and other materials related to research topics.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining research data, documentation, and project materials.
  • Use Excel to organize, analyze, and maintain research data accurately.
  • Work independently with limited oversight while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout all research and data-related activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
