ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead

Location: Marysville, OH

Compensation: $70-80/hour

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead to join a long-term, three-year ServiceNow engagement in Marysville, Ohio. This role will serve as a senior technical resource responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions across a complex enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on ServiceNow development expertise, advanced scripting capabilities, integration experience, and a deep understanding of CMDB, Discovery, CSDM, and the broader ServiceNow platform. This individual will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and delivery teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Lead complex ServiceNow enhancements, custom development, and platform improvements.
  • Develop advanced ServiceNow solutions using Glide scripting and scoped applications.
  • Design and implement integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
  • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot CMDB and Discovery implementations.
  • Support CSDM mapping, data modeling, and configuration management initiatives.
  • Implement and enhance ServiceNow Now Assist and GenAI capabilities.
  • Develop and optimize Performance Analytics, Service Portal, Flow Designer, and related platform capabilities.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure development follows ServiceNow best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities for platform optimization.
  • Mentor junior ServiceNow developers and provide technical guidance across the team.
  • Collaborate with product owners, solution architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Participate in SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning and contribute to technical planning activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5-8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Advanced ServiceNow scripting experience, including Glide APIs and scoped applications.
  • Strong experience developing ServiceNow integrations using REST and SOAP.
  • Experience with webhooks, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
  • Strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and Configuration Management practices.
  • Experience with CSDM mapping and ServiceNow data structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, Service Portal, and Performance Analytics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical design capabilities.
  • Experience conducting code reviews and maintaining development standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to work fully onsite in Marysville, OH.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • CIS certifications, particularly ITSM, Discovery, or CMDB.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or enabling ServiceNow Now Assist / GenAI capabilities.
  • Experience working within SAFe or other scaled Agile delivery environments.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior ServiceNow developers.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
