• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
• Perform chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions and other issues
• Utilizes barcode system equipment to document certain inventory activities
• Reviews laboratory data to determine proper handling and disposal of materials
• Uses Department of Transportation (DOT) knowledge to match and label inbound materials for storage and shipping of containers to other sites
• Utilizes proper equipment to remove samples of materials for analysis and compatibility checks
• Processes, includes some loading and unloading, solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations
• Operates a fork truck and Bobcat with attachments
• Direct liquid waste through a pump system to tanks for storage
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed
• Operates a hydraulic baler for cardboard and other material
• Maintains operating areas, walls, pipes, and floors in a clean and safe condition
• Utilizes knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, OSHA and permit regulations
• Utilizes coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers
• Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed including boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection and a respirator
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering preferred
• High-school diploma or equivalent (required)

• 1+ years of related experience (required)
• 40 hour HAZWOPER certificate (preferred) but we will help you obtain
